Description
Jean-Dominique Guitton holds a doctorate in molecular biophysics from the University of Orléans, obtained in 1982.
He has dedicated most of his career to pharmaceutical research, particularly upstream research, within Rhône-Poulenc Santé, then Aventis and Sanofi-Aventis. He has held several management positions there, in France and internationally, notably as head of the Lead Discovery Technologies, Protein Production and Engineering, and Biologics Generation departments.
In 2014, as part of a skills sponsorship from Sanofi, he joined the Alsace BioValley competitiveness cluster.
Since 2018, he has been actively involved in leading the French community of organs-on-chips. In 2023, alongside NETRI, he is co-piloting the Organoids and Organs-on-Chips theme of project 14 of the new contract of the Strategic Committee of the Health Industries and Technologies Sector.
