Antoni Pijoan has a Bachelor Degree in Physics Science at the University of Barcelona (1994) and Industrial Engineer at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia/University of Aberdeen (1998). Executive MBA by Deusto University (2008). After more than 20 years of international career developed in Spain, France, UK, Germany and USA working in consultancy and project management, Antoni joined Inasmet (currently Tecnalia) in 2008 as Construction and Energy Division Manager. Since 2015 he is working at Tecnalia Ventures as Program’s Manager responsible for launching/supporting new Business Opportunities and leading technology transfer projects. In 2018 he joined the Made by Europe Working Group, that finally got awarded the launch of EIT Manufacturing. Since January 2019, Antoni has played the rol of interim Business Creation Director and after July 2019 complemented with the interim CLC West Director position. On May 2020 he officially joined EIT Manufacturing team as Managing Director of CLC West. He has previously participated in different governing bodies such as Nobatek (RTO in Southern France) and KIC InnoEnergy.
