Description
Benoît IUNG has been a Professor (class Exc. 2) at the University of Lorraine (UL) since 2003, specializing in manufacturing systems engineering with a specific focus on the anticipatory maintenance of their operational condition. In this field, he conducts his teaching activities at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Vandoeuvre and his research activities within the CRAN - UMR CNRS 7039, where he has been serving as Deputy Director since 2024. His work focuses more specifically on operational safety, maintenance engineering with pioneering work for over 20 years around predictive maintenance technologies and PHM (Prognostics and Health Management), with an emerging application target on cyber-physical production systems in the "industry of the future" context. In relation to these activities, he has held numerous scientific responsibilities at the local UL, national, and international levels (CIRP, IFAC), with strong involvement in the socio-economic fabric (e.g. CIFREs, European Projects, LabCOM).
