The Institut Photonique is a center of excellence that was established in 2024. It is the result of a collaboration between public and private stakeholders in the Grand Est region and Luxembourg. Our goal is to become a European reference in the field of photonics and to explore the applications of light in various sectors, from health to energy. The Institut Photonique was designed as a catalyst for innovation, bringing together more than 300 researchers and students in photonics. It is committed to conducting research projects, promoting technology transfer, attracting new talent to this field, generating vocations, and strengthening the competitiveness of the industry. The Institut Photonique reflects a collective ambition to illuminate the future through the science of light.
