Description
Arnaud joined FRD in 2013 as project manager and then became Scientific Director in 2015. Through his training, then his position as project manager at the Institut Technique du Chanvre (2006-2007), as well as in his missions Lecturer at the University of Lille (2007-2013), Arnaud has developed expertise in plant fibers in the broad sense: from their formation in the plant in connection with the environment, to their use in materials. These 25 years of experience have led him to an in-depth knowledge of European actors, academic and industrial, acting for the development of materials integrating plant biomass.
Within FRD he deals with:
- FRD's innovation aimed at promoting the use of plant fibers in materials for all fields of application. This mission fits into contexts of service on behalf of industrialists and collaborative projects combining actors from academic research and industrialists.
- To ensure the management and the animation of the team of the technological Hall FRD-Lab
These missions have led him to develop expertise in:
- Setting up and managing collaborative projects for various calls for projects
- Innovation of products, processes, methods
- Quality monitoring of materials and products
- Deployment of a service offer (communication and marketing actions, customer prospecting) to achieve quantified objectives
- Communication and popularization of scientific advances
- Protection of innovation
Fields of expertise:
- From plant molecular biology & physiology to the properties of materials via biomass collection and fractionation processes, the functionalization of fibers and reinforcements, to composite production processes.
