Professor Benoit Gallix, MD, PhD, is Director General of the IHU Strasbourg, and former Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the McGill University Health Centre, Montreal, Canada. He is a pioneer in the development of self-learning algorithms for the identification of imaging-based biomarkers of liver disease and HCC and a world-class expert in hepatology. At the IHU Strasbourg, he develops - together with teams of roboticists, surgeons, gastroenterologists and radiologists - new AI methods and medical robots for the treatment of digestive tumours allowing the planning, guidance and control of minimally invasive treatments.
